Mass torts are a type of action where a large number of people have been injured through the conduct of one or more companies or people. An example of these types of cases are drugs which are recalled by the food and drug administration to medical devices that are found to cause severe injury to tainted food products which are placed into the stream of commerce. There are multiple areas in which people are exposed to dangerous products by a mass tort.
